Terms & Conditions
Have you decided to learn Czech with me, or bought an e-book, the Advent Calendar or another digital product? When you place an order, you tick the box “I agree with the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy”, and before your first session you also confirm your agreement by email. Please read these terms carefully, so you know what we both commit to.
About the trainer
Mgr. Linda Jelínková
- Self-employed person registered in the Czech Trade Register (živnostenský rejstřík)
- Company ID (IČO): 21291128
- Registered office: Trávnická 186, 517 41 Kostelec nad Orlicí, Czech Republic
- E-mail: [email protected]
- I am not a VAT payer.
In these terms, I am referred to as “the trainer” or “the seller”, and you as “the student” or “the customer”.
Online 1:1 sessions
Session scheduling
- Sessions are always scheduled in advance via the website or Google Calendar, in any available time slot that suits you.
- Sessions take place on Google Meet. You will receive the meeting link after booking.
- A regular session lasts 55 minutes. The trial session lasts 30 minutes.
- Sessions end at the agreed time and cannot be extended.
- You need a camera and a reliable internet connection.
- The trainer supports and encourages you, but your participation is your own responsibility.
What’s included
- Trainer-guided 1:1 online sessions
- Immersive content library: presentations, podcasts, videos and worksheets
Trial session
- Each person can have one free 30-minute trial session.
- To book it, contact the trainer via the website form or by email. The trainer will offer you available time slots.
- If you have previously had sessions with the trainer through another company (e.g. Learnlight, Preply or TLC), the free trial session does not apply.
- The trial session is for getting to know each other, discussing your needs and goals, and explaining how the sessions work.
After the trial session
- After the trial session, you can decide whether the match feels right for you. If you decide not to continue, the trainer will be grateful if you share why — it helps improve future matching.
- There is no automatic follow-up after the trial session. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch.
- You can then buy a single session, a pack of 4 sessions or a pack of 10 sessions, and book them via Google Calendar or the website.
Late arrival
- If you are going to be late, please let the trainer know. The trainer will wait for you, but the session still ends at the scheduled time and is charged in full.
- If you do not join within 15 minutes of the start and have not informed the trainer, the session is forfeited and the trainer does not have to wait any longer.
Cancelling a session
- You can cancel a session free of charge at least 24 hours before it starts, via Google Calendar or the communication channel agreed with the trainer (e.g. email or WhatsApp).
- If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, or do not attend, the session is forfeited.
- If you know in advance that you cannot attend on certain dates, please tell the trainer when booking.
- Unused, forfeited or late-cancelled sessions are not refunded (this does not affect your right of withdrawal described below).
Validity, breaks and replacement sessions
- Purchased sessions and vouchers are valid for 6 months from the first session of the pack.
- If you need a break, your unused sessions can be kept for up to 3 months. After that, they are forfeited.
- A session cancelled at least 24 hours in advance will be rescheduled as a replacement session at a time that suits both you and the trainer.
- In case of serious illness, serious family or personal reasons, or a longer holiday, an individual arrangement is possible — for example, pausing the course or scheduling replacement sessions.
- Replacement sessions that are not used within 3 months are forfeited.
When your trainer cancels
- If the trainer cannot hold a session, she will let you know as soon as possible and arrange a replacement session at no extra cost.
Ending sessions
- If you decide to stop your sessions, please let the trainer know clearly and, if you’re happy to, tell her why. Your feedback helps keep the sessions at a high standard.
Student’s responsibility
- Your progress depends on your commitment and participation. It is up to you to make use of the materials and opportunities offered. The trainer is not responsible for whether you use them and does not guarantee specific results.
Right of withdrawal for sessions
- If you are a consumer and you buy sessions online (through the order form on the website or by e-mail), you can withdraw from the contract without giving any reason within 14 days from the day the contract was concluded (the day you sent the order).
- To withdraw, use the Withdraw from contract form on the website, or send a clear statement to [email protected] or to the address above. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your statement before the 14 days are over.
- If you withdraw, I will refund all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used (unless we agree otherwise). You will not pay any fees for the refund.
- If you ask to start your sessions during the withdrawal period (for example, by booking and attending a session within the 14 days), you will pay for the sessions already held up to the moment you withdraw; the rest is refunded.
- Once all sessions of the contract have been held during the withdrawal period at your express request, the right of withdrawal ends.

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service / digital content: ____________
Ordered on / invoice number: ____________
Name of consumer: ____________
Address of consumer: ____________
Date: ____________ Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): ____________
Price, currency and invoices
- Current prices of sessions and digital products are listed on the website. The price shown when you place an order is final — I am not a VAT payer, so no VAT is added.
- Sessions: the trainer issues an invoice for every payment and sends it by email. Once paid, it serves as proof of purchase.
- E-books and digital products: after a successful payment, you automatically receive an invoice marked as paid by email.
- Prices are stated in CZK and, for some products, in EUR. The currency of the payment is always shown in the order and on the invoice.
Payments
- Sessions: bank transfer to a Czech bank account, Wise or Revolut. Packs must be paid in full before the first session of the pack. Single sessions are paid according to the invoice. If the first invoice is not paid on time, the booked sessions are cancelled and the time slots are released to other students.
- E-books and digital products: online payment through the payment gateway of Comgate, a.s. (payment card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or online bank transfer). Your card details are entered only on the secure page of the payment gateway; the seller never sees or stores them. Comgate, a.s. (Gočárova třída 1754/48b, 500 02 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic) is a payment institution supervised by the Czech National Bank.
- There are NO REFUNDS on unused or last-minute (less than 24 hours in advance) cancelled sessions, except for the right of withdrawal described above.
E-books and digital products
Ordering
- You order an e-book or the Advent Calendar by filling in the order form on the website (name, email address and country) and paying online.
- The contract is concluded when your payment is successfully completed. The contract is concluded in English.
- Before paying, please check that your email address is correct — your e-book, information about access to the Advent Calendar and the invoice are sent there.
Delivery
- E-books are delivered as PDF files. You can read them on a computer, tablet or phone with any PDF reader, and print them for your own use.
- Immediately after payment, you receive an email with the e-book(s) attached as PDF files. Please keep this email – it is your copy of the e-book.
- If you do not receive the email within 1 hour, please check your spam folder and then contact [email protected]. I will send you the e-book again.
- Each e-book is personalised: your name, email address and order number appear on every page. This protects the author’s work against unauthorised sharing.
Right of withdrawal
- Consumers in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract concluded online. For digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, you lose this right once delivery begins, provided that you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
- You give this consent by ticking the box in the order form before payment. Without this consent, the order cannot be completed.
- Advent Calendar: if you buy the calendar before 2 December 2026, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase, but no later than when window 2 opens (2 December 2026, 00:00 Prague time), even though your access is set up immediately after payment. To do so, use the Withdraw from contract form or email me; I will refund the full price within 14 days. If you buy the calendar on or after 2 December 2026, your right of withdrawal ends once your access is set up.
Advent Calendar 2026
What it is
- The Advent Calendar 2026 is an interactive online Czech course for level A2 with 24 windows, one for each day from 1 to 24 December 2026. The windows contain exercises, texts, audio recordings and information about Czech Christmas traditions, grammar and vocabulary.
- The calendar works in an up-to-date web browser (with JavaScript enabled) on a computer, tablet or phone with an internet connection; sound is needed for the audio recordings. It is not supplied as a downloadable file.
- Window 1 can be tried free of charge before you buy.
Sale period and access
- The calendar can be bought until 23 December 2026, 23:59 Prague time. After that, it is no longer sold.
- Each window opens on its day at 00:00 Prague time. Windows that have already opened stay available. If you buy the calendar after 1 December, all windows opened so far are available to you straight away.
- Your access lasts until 31 January 2027 (inclusive). After that date, the calendar, including your notes, is no longer available. Until then, you can download your notes as a PDF file. If you are also my student, your notes stay available on your lesson page.
Your account
- After payment, you receive an email with a link to set your password (if you already have an account under the same email address, you sign in with your existing password). You can change the password at any time.
- If you already have an account in the Student’s Section under the same email address, the calendar is added to that account and you log in with your existing password.
- Your login details are personal and may not be shared with anyone else (see Licence and copyright).
If something does not work
- I make sure that the calendar works during the whole access period. If a window does not open or does not work properly, please contact [email protected].
- I will fix it free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you. If I do not, or the defect is serious, you are entitled to a reasonable price reduction or, unless the defect is minor, to terminate the contract and receive a refund. This does not limit your statutory rights.
Licence and copyright
- All products and materials (e-books, the Advent Calendar, worksheets, presentations, videos and webinars) are protected by copyright. By purchasing an e-book or the Advent Calendar, you obtain a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it.
- You may: read the e-book on any of your own devices and print it for your own study; use the Advent Calendar in your own account.
- You may not: share, forward, upload, sell or otherwise make the e-book, the Advent Calendar or any part of them available to other people, share your login details, or use the e-book or the Advent Calendar to teach other students, without the author’s written consent.
- Teachers and schools: if you would like to use an e-book with your own students, please contact [email protected] for a teacher’s licence.
- The customer is liable to the seller for any damage caused by breaching these rights.
Complaints and disputes
- Complaints can be sent to [email protected]. The trainer will respond without undue delay, and at the latest within 30 days.
- E-books: if a file is defective (for example, it cannot be opened or pages are missing) or does not match its description, contact the seller and you will receive a corrected file free of charge. If it is not corrected within a reasonable time, or the defect is serious, you are entitled to a reasonable price reduction or, unless the defect is minor, to terminate the contract and receive a refund.
- Advent Calendar: if a window does not work properly, contact the seller. It will be fixed free of charge within a reasonable time; if it is not, or the defect is serious, you are entitled to a reasonable price reduction or, unless the defect is minor, to terminate the contract and receive a refund.
- Consumers can use out-of-court dispute resolution. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), www.coi.cz.
- These terms are governed by Czech law. This does not deprive consumers of the protection provided by the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
Final provisions
- By booking your first session, paying for sessions, or ticking the box in the order form for e-books and other digital products, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
- The trainer may update these terms. The version valid at the time of your purchase applies.
- These terms are effective from 2 November 2026.
